The 2019 Spring Session will run from April 22nd - June 27th. It's a 10 week session.

 

All registered classes are drop-off/pick up style, the last class of the session, we invite parents in to watch to see what has been learnt. Please arrive at the gym no earlier than 5 minutes before class starts and 5 minutes before class ends to ensure the safety and focus of the children.

 

 

Please note - the mandatory insurance fee was one time per child per year. If you've already paid it for the fall 2018 session or winter 2019 session - you do not need to pay it again. If you have not paid the $45 insurance fee, please select the option at check out.

 

 

Class descriptions:

 

KINDERGYM

 

Learning through play is fundamental to the Kindergym program. By Incorporating skill acquisition into games, children discover their confidence & abilities. Balance and muscular development occur simply through participation. Basic movement patterns; landings, locomotions are systematically explored. 

 

Focus is placed on fitness, fun & fundamentals of a gymnastics practice. 

 

 GYMNASTICS - all classes are co-ed

 

This class is about fun and fundamentals. Weekly classes include games that involve good cardiovascular workouts, new skill acquisition, repetition of prior learned skills to reinforce development, stretching and condition workshops. Repetition of skills to ensure solidity of learned material become "muscle memory" and hopefully will never be forgotten. 

 

Can expect to do work on all the equipment we have to develop skills on floor, bars, beam, rings and more. Sessions always include games and stretch workshops; this class offers a well rounded and fun gymnastics experience. 

 

Parkour Class 

 

This class is for those wanting to improve their functional movement skills. Parkour is all about moving through your environment efficiently and naturally. Parkour practitioners jump, climb, and vault over obstacles in their path. Their goal is to get from point A to point B as efficiently as possible. Emphasis will be placed on learning the foundations of how to move creatively with jumps, twists, swings and climbing. 

 

Sessions always include games and stretch workshops; this class offers a more movement specific focus. 

 

Drop in GYMNASTICS

 

This is unstructured free time for those wanting to come in, use the equipment and work on skills at their own pace & level. A coach is present to offer support and to ensure the safety of the students, however - skills are explored at your own risk.

 

There is drop-in parent & tot which is meant for kids under 5 who will be required to have parent or guardian supervision. Drop in adult classes are for those 18 and over who want to develop strength, agility and want to play like kids again. 

 

 

Acro Yoga 

 

Acro Yoga combines the art of acrobatics, gymnastics, yoga, thai massage and circus arts into an amazing practice. develop strength, flexibility, trust and communication. We will not be using any gymnastics equipment during class. This is for all levels, everyone welcome & no partner is needed.
