Banff Gymnastics Club is a community-based Club offering a broad range of recreational programs that encourage each individual, from young children to adults, to develop themselves to their maximum potential in artistic gymnastics, in a safe, fun, fitness-focused and team environment.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

The Banff Gymnastics Club is primarily, but not solely a parent-operated club. We recognize that each person is an individual developing at their own special rate and has their own unique abilities. We feel that each athlete should be provided with the opportunity to be physically healthy and active, to develop their strengths and abilities, striving to reach their full potential through skill development within a safe and structured environment and to foster teamwork and self-respect through sports.

The success of the program is dependent upon a coordinate team approach amongst the children, parents, coaches and the Executive Board.

Meet Our Coaches!

Coach Tara.

Tara started gymnastics at a young age as her parents found her to be quite "active".  She was a part of the competitive program in Oakville & Mississauga Ontario until age 16.  Coaching gymnastics was her first job in high school and she continued to coach throughout University.

She got back into coaching after a 10 year hiatus first in Canmore then in Banff.  She is currently doing all admin, registration and marketing for the gym club as well as coaching part-time.

She believe that every child should have access to gymnastics, as it is a huge part in body awareness and locomotion development.

Coach Fabi.

My name is Fabienne Moser and I am born and raised in Banff. I started gymnastics at 8 years old and fell in love with the sport immediatly. I ended competing for Banff gymnastics Club for 10 years making it to a national level. I started coaching gymnastics when I went to university and would coach on and off at the club since 2004. It was also my experience from gymnastics that allowed me to make the U of A pole vault team. I owe so much of what I have done in my life to the sport of gymnastics. I currently work as a physical therapist in town and with the national Canadian ski team. I think gymnastics is one of the best sports out there that teaches children and adults fundamental movements, mobility, and strength that can last a lifetime.

Coach Kristina

Kristina's parents put her in gymnastics after she started trying to learn skills in the concrete jungles of Manila, Philippines.

She competed for years and later went on to coach in Red Deer for two and a half years before going back to school.

" I love to help kids build their confidence and resiliency, while they have fun through hard work and play." - Coach Kristina
